What Your Job Will Be Like:
Organization 03522, HR Solutions - Admin, Benefits, Compensation & Training, is currently seeking a Human Resources Operations Benefits Generalist to join their team!
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing customer service and support to employees (active and inactive), managers, retirees, candidates, and company vendors for questions, issues, and problems related to HR Benefits. This work is performed in a large volume, fast-paced environment and must be done with exceptional customer service and accuracy. This position reports directly to the HR Solutions Benefits Manager.
On any given day, one may be called upon to:
- Provide excellent customer service to both phone and online inquiries from employees and managers at all levels and resolve questions/issues by accessing information in multiple systems
- Escalate complex HR inquires to HR Solutions Specialists and provide vital documentation to support requests; routes/refers calls for advanced support and follows up as the need arises
- Work independently to process transactions by collecting required information or back-up documentation from the employee/manager/HR, including probing for additional information if unclear, performing data entry, and sending requested documents
- Perform transaction processing in support of HR functions (e.g., data entry, filing, sending correspondence, etc.)
- Provide help navigating internal resources on self-service and HR technology tools
- Collaborate closely between HR Solutions, vendors, and other HR functions
This position is eligible for telecommuting, and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
Salary Range:
$48,500 - $89,000
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
- A High School Diploma, plus 3 years related Human Resources experience; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
- The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance
Qualifications We Desire:
- An Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, English, or a related field
- Knowledge of HR and/or Benefits concepts and terminology
- A positive demeanor, strong communication skills, and keen attention to detail with the demonstrated ability to team well and communicate effectively with others
- The demonstrated ability to work independently while ensuring work is completed on-time and accurately
- The ability to manage workload efficiently to fulfill commitments in a timely manner and within established service level agreements
- Experience in a shared service environment with knowledge of HRIS systems, PeopleSoft, and Oracle Service Cloud
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- The ability to protect and keep personally identifiable information (PII), personal health information, and other information confidential
