Position Summary
The School of Sciences at IU Kokomo invites applications for a full-time, 10-month, Visiting Lecturer position in Mathematics for the 2026-2027 academic year. The successful candidate will have teaching load of four courses (twelve credit hours) each semester, in face-to-face or online formats. Course load may include foundational, general education, and gateway mathematics courses, such as college algebra and finite mathematics. One of eight campuses of Indiana University, Indiana University Kokomo, is a comprehensive non-residential campus located 50 miles north of Indianapolis in Kokomo, Indiana, a city with a population of about 60,000. Basic Qualifications
Requirements include an earned M.A., M.S., M.A.T. (with at least 18 credits of graduate courses in mathematics), or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field, by the time of the appointment (August 1, 2026). Strong preference will be given to applicants with a record of effective instruction and a demonstrated commitment to student learning. Evidence may include, but is not limited to, implementing active learning techniques, utilizing assessment data, relevant professional development, or peer reviews of teaching. Previous experience teaching college algebra and teaching online is also desired.
