Job Description


Cleveland Clinic seeks Hospitalists to work at various Clinic hospitals in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area (Main Campus, Hillcrest Hospital, Fairview Hospital, Medina Hospital, Avon Hospital, Marymount Hospital, and South Pointe Hospital). Hospitalists administer direct care to adult hospitalized patients; communicate and coordinate internal medicine subspecialty care; optimize short stay models and care pathways; provide consultative services to subspecialty patients; evaluate patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery and outline preoperative risks; optimize chronic conditions; prepare evidence-based recommendations for perioperative care; ensure that coordination and safe care is being provided in a timely and efficient manner; train medical students, residents, and fellows; and set up effective liaison with administrative, medical, and nursing staff. Evening and weekend on call responsibilities as needed. Position requires MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation or as evidenced by an ECFMG certificate, completion of a residency in Internal Medicine, Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Internal Medicine, and eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio. The salary range displayed in this job posting reflects the anticipated salary range for new physicians hired into full-time (100% FTE) positions. This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.
