Job Description
Summary
We are looking for a Senior Research Coordinator to join our growing Phase 1 oncology research program. This position will manage and oversee the daily operations of Phase 1 clinical trials. Responsibilities include screening patients for eligibility, coordinating study participant visits, ongoing trial coordination, supporting monitor visits, data collection and entry, and ensuring overall compliance with federal, institutional, and departmental guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Job Duties
Generic Duty – Coordinate Phase 1 clinical research trials.
Specific Position Duty – Coordinate complex Phase 1 clinical research studies. Interview, screen, and recruit patients for clinical studies; explain processes and procedures to potential participants; engage with research participants; collect, process, and ship biological specimens. Maintain research records. Collaborate with regulatory and finance teams to ensure successful clinical trial operations.
Phase 1 Research Trial Management/Coordination:
- Develop study-specific tools for trial maintenance
- Screen potential research participants for eligibility
- Coordinate research participant visits and study schedules
- Collect and enter data
- Collect, process, and ship biological specimens
- Communicate and collaborate with outside sponsors, BCM teams, and affiliated institutions
- Collaborate with Cancer Center finance and regulatory team
- Performs other job duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field.Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- Five years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
- Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) or equivalent research certification
- Experience in Phase 1 clinical research
- Phlebotomy certification and hands-on experience
Work Authorization Requirement:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
