Compliance Analysts serve as Ethics and Compliance Department staff and are key team members in City of Hope’s system revenue cycle programs and activities. At the direction of a Compliance Manager, Compliance Analysts perform regular and ad hoc reviews to monitor compliance with City of Hope’s billing and coding requirements and with federal and state regulations.

Compliance Analysts perform compliance related audits and is responsible for gathering, reviewing, and analyzing data from the medical record system which may include revenue cycle and clinical information to analyze and use critical thinking skills to identify risks and compliance concerns. Compliance Analysts to collaborate regularly with various levels of staff regarding revenue cycle issues. As a successful candidate, you will:

Perform internal and external audits and reviews conducted by or through the Compliance Office. Gathers, reviews, and analyzes data required for such audits and reviews.

  • At the direction of the Compliance Manager, gathering information and data for compliance related matters.
  • Supports ongoing auditing and monitoring activities related to provider compliance. Uses judgment and expertise to identify potentially serious concerns and ensure timely escalation of these issues to the Provider Compliance Manager and/or Director of Provider Compliance.
  • Supports and maintains provider compliance related tools such as provider database, audit tracker, and Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) software. Data entry management with speed and accuracy.
  • Supports Provider Compliance Committee and assists with special projects relating to the area of expertise as requested. Assists with projects involving data management using database and EPIC reporting tools.
  • Assists in the review and maintenance of existing Provider Compliance policies.
  • Support the compilation of analytics to track and trend Provider Compliance department metrics such as audit results and others upon request.
  • Assists with special projects relating to provider compliance as requested. Provides support with Internal Audit Department activities relating to provider compliance.
  • Maintains current knowledge of application of federal and state laws and regulations relevant to area of expertise and enhances professional growth and development by participating in educational programs relating to such topics.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree; 3 additional years of experience plus the minimum experience requirement may substitute for minimum education.
  • 3+ years’ experience in compliance and/or Revenue Cycle, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $35.68 - $55.31 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
