As a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the Enterprise Flexible Staffing Pool, you will support a diverse patient population across various departments, with many managing various chronic respiratory disorders, critical illnesses and related symptoms.
A caregiver in this position works varying Evening and Nights shifts from 3:00PM - 1:30AM or 7:00PM - 7:30AM, with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.
Caregivers in the flex pool will float to multiple locations, and are eligible to receive incentive float pay.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Float to multiple Cleveland Clinic locations to perform respiratory care services for geriatric, adult and pediatric patient populations in various inpatient settings, such as critical care, obstetrics, the Emergency Department and behavioral health.
Assess patients for the appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop, implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
Perform advanced respiratory care modalities, evaluate respiratory practice, administer medications and treatments, and perform blood gas puncture and analysis.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board Licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)
Minimum one year critical care experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
3-5 years critical care experience
ACLS, PALS credentialing through the AHA
Bachelor’s Degree

Physical Requirements:
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range.
May require sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
