Qualifications:
Biotechnology Seminar discussion class is an online 3-unit course that focuses on Quality control, validation, cGLP/GMP practices, and technical writing as it pertains to the Biotechnology industry. The course can explore quality systems, quality standards, validation of performance, biomanufacturing and/or change management.
This course is taught online during the 2025 Fall term (August 25, 2025 - December 14, 2025) on Tuesdays from 6:00 - 8:30 pm.
In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.
Candidates must have a Master's/Ph.D. in Life Sciences with 5 years of professional experience in the biotechnology, medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry. Candidates should also have familiarity with online/hybrid instruction.
This position requires all coursework to be performed in the state of California.
The salary range for this position is $7,449 - $10,008 (3 units) and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
