City of Hope Orange County is transforming cancer treatment by bringing world-class expertise and specialized care closer to home. Supported by a regional network of care, our 11-acre academic cancer campus in Irvine is home to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, our outpatient cancer center, and Orange County’s only cancer specialty hospital, opening in late 2025.

With the opening of the hospital, the full continuum of advanced cancer care—from prevention through survivorship—will be available in Orange County for the first time, eliminating the need to travel for lifesaving treatment. Seamlessly connected to our outpatient cancer center, the new clinical research hospital will feature 73 inpatient beds, advanced surgical suites, groundbreaking clinical trials, and holistic services such as rehabilitative therapy and spiritual care. This isn’t standard cancer care. This is lifesaving cancer care. This is Hope.

Are you enthusiastic about making a meaningful impact in the lives of patients battling leukemia? As a Leukemia Nurse Practitioner at City of Hope, you will play a vital role in a dedicated oncology team, providing expert care, guidance, and support to patients throughout their treatment journey.

In this role, you will assist in the assessments, management, and coordination of care across the continuum of care in the inpatient setting as well as outpatient while integrating practice according to City of Hope Professional Practice Model to deliver care services excellence. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with the investigators to ascertain study patient eligibility for clinical trial as well as prepare patients for Stem Cell Transplantation and manage inpatients undergoing chemotherapy.

As a successful candidate, you will:

· Strong Oncology & Hematology Knowledge – A deep understanding of leukemia, its treatments (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, bone marrow transplants), and patient management strategies.

· Excellent Clinical Decision-Making – The ability to assess patients, interpret lab results, and adjust treatment plans quickly and effectively.

· Compassionate Patient-Centered Care – Supporting patients and families through difficult diagnoses and treatments with empathy, clear communication, and emotional strength.

· Collaboration & Teamwork – Working closely with oncologists, hematologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide seamless, multidisciplinary care.

· Adaptability & Continuous Learning – Staying updated on the latest leukemia research, treatment protocols, and best practices to provide the most advanced care possible.

*3/12-hour shifts, Monday - Sunday Schedule

Your qualifications should include:

  • Master’s degree, or Doctorate degree as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Three years of clinical experience
  • Current California RN license
  • Current California Nurse Practitioner license
  • Current California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing license.
  • DEA expected within 6 months of hire.
  • NPI certification
  • National Nurse Practitioner Board Certification thorough accrediting body
  • Specialty certification as defined/required for role.
  • Current BLS certification through American Heart Association
  • Current ACLS certification through American Heart Association

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $119000.00 - $213832.00 / hour
