The successful candidate:

Position Summary:

The Director, Patient Financial Services reports directly to the site CFO, is a key member of the site leadership team and is responsible for leading the City of Hope-Atlanta RCM function.

With direct oversight of a team of 20 employees, the role is responsible for developing the patient financial strategy in coordination with the CFO, exploring and supporting market growth initiatives, end to end RCM process oversight of the Bone Marrow Transplant Program, ensuring excellent patient financial service, financial advocacy and counseling, ownership of the site financial policy, charge capture and indirectly managing, in a matrixed environment, all site A/R and RCM functions.

This role will also be a catalyst for the identification and delivery of hospital initiatives and processes that are designed to support the growth, capture, management, collection and reporting of patient service revenue along with developing talent.

The Director, Patient Financial Services is responsible for serving patients, physicians, clinicians, and employees by providing timely and accurate resources and tools to proactively manage, make decisions and drive the strategic initiatives of the hospital. A key part of success will be the development of relations with the physicians and serving as a key subject matter expert and advisor to them.

Position Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business and/or a related field is required, Master's in healthcare or business is preferred. Additionally, superb skills in Microsoft applications including Excel and PowerPoint is required.

Experience: Five to seven years' experience in healthcare and revenue cycle operations leadership is required.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $48.61 - $80.03 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
