POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible and accountable for leading a team of Supply Planners to ensure Supply Assurance for assigned clusters/markets. Act as a focal point for collecting market PCM (Product Change
Management) events update. Drive supply and inventory continuous improvement activities to support the attainment of commercial goals for the region and markets. Guide and coach assigned teams to fulfill their accountabilities. Aggregate market view across Supply Planners. Serve as a point of contact for Market Leaders for an assigned set of markets. Drive market-level Product Change Management (PCM) event reviews and discussions, validating market stakeholders' input and working with supply planners for supply solutions. Through collaboration with key stakeholders, accountable for driving continuous improvements in supply chain processes, establishing / meeting performance objectives and operational changes.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Enable supply assurance of 4 – 5 APAC markets by leading a team of 5 planners to execute:

Supply & Inventory Management

  • Accountable in supply assurance through delivering most optimized supply plans from Plants to APAC markets that will support new product launch acceleration, revenue upsides, while reducing inventory excess and write-off.
  • Accountable for In-Market Customer Service performance level and support optimum replenishments of supply to meet upside revenue and reduce excess inventory & write-off.
  • Proactive management of supply with sites to reach the best supply options to markets and manage stakeholder expectations with appropriate escalations and/ or robust supply mitigation plans.
  • Accountable for the renegotiation of Supply Chain Agreements with all sourcing sites and ensure accurate and timely management, updates and implementation of planning parameters.
  • Provide training and upskilling of MPH team in all key planning systems (SAP APO DP/ SNP /STO),  related reporting management systems (DSS, SAP BI, BOBJ)
  • Adopt use of SupplyIQ functionalities to the fullest and continuously look for more efficient ways of using modules.
  • Product change management

  • Effective use of SAP & Supply IQ Supply Planning to efficiently manage Product Change Management (PCM) activities including new product launches, artwork changes, LOE, PNS, etc, to mitigate supply and inventory risk.
  • Build partnership and close collaboration with markets, regulatory and other functional stakeholders
  • Ensure adoption and continued improvement of standard processes and PCM systems
  • Performance Management

  • Analysis of Service Level (%In-Stock), Inventory value, Month on Hand of the markets to drive actions directly or escalate for further actions.
  • Implement and embed a comprehensive analytics and management reporting within IMEx framework, to support the daily/ weekly/ monthly processes at Regional and Market level
  • Provide areas of improvements to the markets and regional teams to support Sales and Operations Planning processes and Operational Review Meetings.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Sourcing Sites to optimize Plant to MPH S&OP to effectively monitor and drive performance
  • Inventory Management Optimization

  • Ensure market inventory levels  are meeting targets by proactively managing demand changes with markets and plants to position optimum inventory builds, adjusting PNS stock build plans in line with business and regulatory changes and optimizing lead time and safety stock regularly.
  • Ensure proactive management of inventory risk using ZDI systems to provide early intervention of inventory within shelf life, and mitigating inventory obsolescence risks with market commercial, plant and above site support.
  • Owns the Inventory budget for the region and proposes relevant targets by market to GSCPM (Regional and Global) in alignment with the local Markets  
  • Stakeholder Management

  • Key role to engage closely with cross functional teams within PGS, Supply Chain Quality and Regulatory. These includes Site supply chain leads/ Site Leads, VSOT leads, Above Site Leads, BSL and PPL. Expected to lead the conversation on all supply issues impacting the region with these key stakeholders to align on mitigation plans to support the business and patient impact. 
  • Drives Market Regulatory & Commercial conversation to accelerate regulatory approvals, provide alternate supply options and/or robust data supporting regulatory and commercial business case to influence decision making. 
  • Proactive networking with Regional and Global PGS teams to maximize the effectiveness of the MPH and to ensure optimal use of tools, systems and ‘best in class’ processes  
  • Management of Team

  • Development of the planners in the cluster including training and development plans for key colleagues to support talent of the future. 
  • Promote innovation and take appropriate risks to challenge the status quo, resulting in enhanced processe

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Market Planning Hub Lead, Manufacturing Sites, Network Supply, CSC Cluster & Market Leaders, Demand Planners, Regional Supply Leads, Regulatory team, Market Quality

EDUCATION

Bachelor  or  Master  degree  in  Engineering,  Business  Administration,  Logistics  Management, Operations Management or Supply Chain Management

•      Incumbent must be fluent both written and verbally in English

•      Operational Excellence, Lean, 6 Sigma training or certifications are preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven ability to work in a complex international matrix organization and within a multi – cultural environment

  • Strong team leadership experience essential, experience of Virtual working and Market/Regional/ Above Market roles an advantage 

  • Highly developed ability to interact and build effective relationships at all levels of the organization and across geographies with strong oral and written communication skills

  • Min. 10+ years of combined Supply and Logistics management experience is required, ideally in a multi – national environment and ideally at least in part in the Pharmaceutical sector.

  • Highly developed capabilities in supply chain digital and ERP systems, analytical tools and data mining/ analytics. General Information Technology literacy vital with strong experience and deep technical and process knowledge of ERP & SC systems is essential

  • Deep experience in S&OP process and execution at local and regional level

  • Previous accountability for asset management and budgetary management a real advantage

  • Experience of logistics operations/ compliance managing/supporting internal/external market warehousing, including distribution metrics, costs management and operational compliance would be an advantage

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulatory processes, artwork management and product lifecycle changes

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and ‘end  to end’ global product flows

  • Continuous improvement/ operational excellence projects and deep project management
