What You Will Achieve

Performs, or oversees internal or external testing laboratory performance of routine and non-routine testing and general QC laboratory work for the facility and utility system monitoring, in-process support, release clinical development and/or commercial products in a GMP testing environment.

How You Will Achieve It 

  • Applying the principles of cGMPs on a daily basis
  • Analyzing and compiling data and preparation of reports & presentations
  • Playing a lead role in the transfer, qualification and validation of analytical methods
  • Serve as SME for testing methods or other areas of expertise
  • Troubleshooting laboratory or system anomalies
  • Lead laboratory investigations in areas of expertise
  • Representing Quality Control on cross functional project teams
  • Authoring and reviewing technical reports, stability summaries, SOPs and test methods or other documents to support development, manufacturing, quality operations and regulatory submissions
  • Authoring deviations, CAPAs and Change Controls
  • Contributes to optimization of Quality Processes
  • Basic understanding of a global quality perspective

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelors Degree with at least 3 years of experience OR Masters with more than 1 year of experience OR High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience OR an Associates Degree with 6 years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
  • Certification in assigned area, if applicable
  • Demonstrated analytical laboratory experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices {also cGMP} regulated environment
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot microbiological methods
  • Ability to proficiently enter computerized data
  • Ability to work with simple scientific equipment
  • Handles multiple tasks concurrently and in a timely fashion
  • Self-motivated and work with minimal direction

Nice-to-Have

  • Demonstrated proficiency in computerized systems (Experience and use of Laboratory Information Management System)

  
 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lifting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, ability to perform mathematical calculations and ability to perform complex data analysis

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work a 4/10 schedule (Sat-Tues)
  • Ability to work particular hours weekend shift and overtime as needed, adhere to safe work practices and procedures including but not limited to aseptic gowning and techniques

The salary for this position ranges from $31.75 to $52.91 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company’s policies.
