Works with: Market FD’s, Market Business Finance, Business Finance Centre Team, DS CoE Market Commercial Colleagues (specific markets)

Purpose of Role

As part of the Commercial Finance organization, the Senior BFC Partner’s role is to be work collaboratively with a range of colleagues and stakeholders to ensure that the Business Finance deliverables required by Local and Regional Finance teams are produced on time and to the required level of quality and detail, by executing BFC processes.

In addition, the Senior BFC Partner will be an enabler for digital tools development and implementation and promote the continuous improvement of Business Finance processes & interactions, ensuring these are executed as designed. The role-holder will bring Business Finance expertise to a delivery-focused role that partners with Commercial Finance and drives overall business metrics & success through the BFC principles.

Through prior experiences in other parts of Finance the Senior BFC Partner will provide support and guidance to Junior BFC Partners in their day-to-day job. The assignment of activities and countries under their responsibility reflect a greater level of complexity, requiring autonomy and ability to handle ad-hoc requests that are expected to have a greater impact on the business in the countries they support.

With experience and knowledge the BFC partner will be a key player in demand management to ensure the success and sustainability of the finance transformation.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, preparation and completion of all defined BFC deliverables for assigned markets / BUs with particular focus on OP/ forecast baseline projection, enabling successful submissions in Mosaic, standard financial slide preparation and offline template consolidation
  • Provide information, metrics and insight to Local finance colleagues and Regional
  • BFC Partners to partner and inform planning, decision making, performance reviews and other key discussions and interactions through accurate historical data collection, revenue trend analysis and cost validation
  • Work with BFC and Local/ Cluster and Regional finance colleagues as required to ensure deliverables are produced and completed as defined within BFC processes
  • Act as point of contact to supported market FD’s for all BFC deliverables.
  • Act as point of contact / escalation for specific Finance colleagues, providing information and answering to requests as required
  • Actively build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, so that their challenges, needs and the business context they work in is comprehended within the BFC
  • Handle and complete any urgent / exception requests received within established timelines, ensuring that backlogs of requests are actively managed and eliminated quickly
  • Participate in the BFC community of practice for key specialisations, focusing on the optimization and continuous improvement of BFC processes, deliverables, interactions, skills and tools

Key Competencies & Experience

  • Education to degree level or equivalent, Professional Accreditation or MBA/Masters in Finance / Accounting preferred (candidates can be part qualified)
  • Excellence in building strong relationships in a virtual environment.
  • Business Finance experience in Local Market or Regional environment, including reporting, analysis, planning, budgeting, forecasting, commentary, modelling
  • Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task; relevant professional skills including problem solving, project planning & delivery, attention to detail, time management, critical thinking. Some experience in a matrix environment is an advantage.
  • Own-it culture, teamwork and focus on customer needs and priorities with collaborative and flexible workstyle, building a good level of business understanding and acumen
  • Excellent ability to autonomously generate and effectively communicate analytical insights, utilizing financial tools (e.g. Global and Local Mosaic) and modeling as well as standard MS Office capabilities (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.)
  • Proactivity, adaptability and ability to work with new generation technology
  • English fluency, comfortable working in cultural diverse organization
  • Availability to occasionally travel to align with key Stakeholders

Metrics & Success Measures

  • Achieve / surpass BFC SLAs as defined for specific markets / BUs / processes that Partner is aligned to.
  • Avoid / expedite request backlogs so that thresholds and response times are achieved.
  • Collaboration on complex / cross-BFC deliverables.
  • Feedback frommarket FD’s and business finance colleagues. Development of Analyst skills & capabilities in line with BFC career / talent framework.
