US PENBRAYA HCP Marketing Director
Job Description
Role Summary
Vaccines is the only place in Pfizer where you can contribute to patients in a way like no other – you can help prevent sickness and disease. This is at the heart of what drives us every day and brings us great #Joy. It’s an exciting time to be in US Vaccines, with one of the strongest pipelines in the industry and with multiple upcoming launches that are part of Pfizer’s 25 Breakthroughs by 2025.
Invasive Meningococcal Disease (IMD) is an uncommon, but serious illness that can lead to death within 24 hours. About 1 in 10 people infected with IMD will die. Up to 1 in 5 survivors will have long-term, devastating consequences, such as limb amputation, nerve and brain damage. Today, there are separate, complex vaccination recommendations for MenACWY and MenB. 70% of adolescents in the US have incomplete protection against IMD caused by serogroups ABCWY.
PENBRAYA, Pfizer’s Pentavalent meningococcal vaccine, can help simplify a currently complex meningococcal vaccination schedule and provide the broadest serogroup coverage (for MenABCWY) in a single meningococcal vaccine. Pfizer recently released positive Phase 3 top-line results in September 2022 for its Penta vaccine, which combines its two licensed meningococcal vaccines, TRUMENBA (MenB) and NIMENRIX (MenACWY), and received FDA Approval in October 2023, with MMWR and VFC vote anticipated in the coming months.
With launch preparedness underway, the US PENBRAYA HCP Marketing Director will be accountable for the development of launch medical education and congress strategies and initiatives that reach healthcare providers through a variety of Medical Education channels, allowing them to learn from their peers and gain a deeper scientific understanding of the disease and the value of PENBRAYA. They will learn some practical considerations for how to implement PENBRAYA in their practice. Through an in-depth understanding of the customer journey and omnichannel marketing, the HCP Marketing Director will expand reach of brand content and drive additional engagement and activation. In partnership with the PENBRAYA Strategy Launch Lead, the HCP Marketing Director will also play a critical role in competitive strategy & differentiation, ensuring key strategies are incorporated in all appropriate HCP-directed deliverables. The colleague will have the opportunity to work on special assignments as well – such as serving as the tactical plan lead, and retail pharmacy strategy and implementation lead.
This team operates in an environment that embraces and encourages innovative ideas and creates a culture of collaboration and teamwork. As such, the HCP Marketing Director will provide leadership while working in close collaboration with the US and Global cross-functional partners across Medical, Marketing, KOL/Congress Teams and Customer Facing Colleagues to develop innovative strategies to optimize reach and ensure a successful launch.
This role is a unique opportunity to be an integral member of the fast-paced, patient-focused launch team that will successfully launch PENBRAYA in the US! The HCP Marketing Director will report directly to the Senior Director/Team Lead, US Meningococcal Vaccine Portfolio.
