Responsibilities
The Lessard Lab is seeking a high-level research technician to advanced cell and molecular biology techniques including, but not limited to, in vitro cell culture (mammalian cells, primary cells, and human inducible pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs)), CRISPR genome editing, and single cell sequencing technologies including single cell transcriptomics using the latest 10X genomics platforms.


Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering, a related field or equivalent years of relevant lab experience.  ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of laboratory experience. Proficient in advanced cell and molecular biology techniques. Familiarity with bacterial cloning, plasmid isolation, and transfection in mammalian cell systems and/or viral transduction in mammalian cell systems. Extensive experience in at least one of the following:10X Genomics single cell transcriptomicsCRISPR Cas9 editingSMART-seq platformsPerturb-seqPrime editingHiC/3C/Micro-CSingle cell ATAC-seq and RNA-seqFlow cytometry Skills & Qualities Effective communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Motivated, conscientious, and highly dependable. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and protocols/procedures. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence. Able to work with minimal instruction on routine tasks. Proficient in basic mathematical operations (e.g., rate, ratio, percent, molarity, unit conversion). Capable of organizing and performing precise and accurate work with samples and chemicals.
