About the Department
The primary function of the Undergraduate Admissions office is to identify, attract and enroll first year and transfer students with outstanding academic ability and potential. The department’s efforts are commensurate with NC State University’s annual and long-term enrollment goals for the University.
Essential Job Duties
The IT Systems Analyst will provide technical knowledge, technical solution development, technical support, and will provide consultation services with end users. The position will be instrumental in providing strategic implementation and support in our CRM (Slate) and the university’s ERP (Peoplesoft) systems. It will require analyzing and evaluating current system processes to identify gaps, opportunities, and solutions in collaboration with office and campus stakeholders. They will create and maintain documentation, provide training, and provide technical and application support to end users. The position will assist in project planning and be a key member in implementing functional processes with current or new systems. Additionally, a key area for the position will be to help ensure data integrity, provide data reports and analysis, and monitor data flows between systems. Provide recommendations and suggest optimizations for admissions leadership as it relates to workflows, operations, and system utilization.

Stay up to date with new developments and functionality for our CRM (Slate). Be able to develop, write, and code within our CRM Slate system for new business workflows, processes, and admissions operations needs. Make recommendations based on optimizing our system and our thinking as it relates to how we use our systems.
Translate functional office requirements into system processes and implement those system components or processes to fulfill the functional requirements.
Understand admissions processes and the resulting data to manage data flows between multiple systems (Slate, PeopleSoft, OnBase, OCR software). Provide functional expertise in conjunction with EAS and other campus offices in auditing and maintenance of data flows.
Develop reports, queries, and data analysis with available data reporting tools to address functional office needs.
Understand data security and ensure data is provided to internal and external groups in alignment with university guidelines.
Collaborate with stakeholders and system teams to help initiate, develop, and implement new functionality using test plans and proper application of system policies and business practices
Evaluate and recommend new CRM (Slate) and ERP (Peoplesoft) updates and changes to better align with office functional goals.
Provide guidance and technical expertise to identify and address process issues or implementation issues within systems.
Provide timely, accurate and efficient technical support to stakeholders’ inquiries, issues, and solutions related to their business processes.
Manage, prioritize and troubleshoot system problems to locate the source of the issue and provide appropriate solutions to rectify.
Manage complex or critical issues and determine resources needed to resolve impact on business operations.
Problem solve and manage the resolution of data flows between multiple systems.
Strong collaborator with other technical teams and campus partners to resolve system issues and performance.
Provide guidance on needed changes to implement business processes. Maintain communication, training, and support to successfully guide the process change. Make recommendations to unit leadership regarding system opportunities, challenges, and optimization.
Provide change management. Develop and manage training and training documentation. Conduct training to successfully implement system changes in relation to the new process being implemented.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders by collaborating, consulting, and guiding implementation of requisite business processes.
Monitor and analyze the efficacy of implemented solutions by measuring outcomes in relation to business objectives.
Remain abreast of best practices and system advancements to maintain expert knowledge to help consult, guide, support and implement solutions or solve system problems.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelors degree and three plus years of relevant work experience required, or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Other Required Qualifications
Ability to exercise judgment and work independently.
Strong organization and time management skills to ensure scheduled deadlines.
Computer proficiency and must be knowledgeable in the use of computerized management information systems.
Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, particularly in matters relative to sensitive or confidential student records, personnel or organizational matters.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with any of the following: system analysis, customer relationship management implementation, technical or systems training, and analytics.
Work experience in an educational setting.
