Applications are invited for the Dodge Family Prize Fellowship (DFPF) in astronomy/astrophysics at the University of Oklahoma. The astrophysics group enjoys institutional access to the APO 3.5m telescope, as well as OU’s OSCER supercomputer.  Astrophysics faculty are members of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey V, the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae (ASAS-SN), the upcoming missions 4MOST, NASA’s Ultraviolet Transient Astronomy Satellite (ULTRASAT) program, and the Vera C. Rubin Observatory.  Our group's current activities include a mix of theoretical and observational research, including studies of AGN, exoplanets, gravitational lensing, galaxy clusters, quasar outflows, stellar activity, and white dwarfs (see https://ou.edu/cas/physics-astronomy).  

Applicants should have completed requirements for a Ph.D. in Astronomy or Physics before the fellowship start date. The term of the fellowship is up to 3 years (2 years initial appointment 1 year renewal with satisfactory performance). The start date for the appointment is flexible, so please indicate your potential start date in your application. The stipend will be $65,000 per year plus benefits, along with an annual $10,000 research budget for the Fellow. The University of Oklahoma is an equal opportunity institution.
