The Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work at the University of Oklahoma seeks an innovative Social Work instructor to join our dynamic faculty team beginning January 2024. We are especially interested in candidates who build collaborative ties with other departments within the school and university and the community through their teaching and service.
The Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work is looking to find dynamic Social Work educators who will be responsible for providing faculty liaison duties for Social Work students in both the BASW and MSW programs along with the following: providing supervision to students in field practicum, assisting in the development and delivery of orientations and trainings, advising students, and participating in service activities within the School of Social Work. We seek to enhance our MSW practicum experience with a faculty liaison with experience supervising social workers and/or social work students, familiarity with field placements and processes, interest and comfort in providing high quality education, and strong skills of organization and relationship building. We welcome candidates with Social Work training experience, including simulation, supervising social workers and social work students, and continuing education.

Description: The Social Work Instructor is a 12-month appointment. Position responsibilities include serving as faculty liaison for the field placements of MSW students in foundation and advanced practice curriculums. The Instructor will serve as a faculty liaison initially in the face-to-face program and will liaise a total of 8 course sections of students in practicum annually. These will be distributed in Fall, Spring, and Summer terms. The Instructor will also provide service to the school, college, and profession. The Instructor will potentially serve students in non-traditional field placements including day, evening, and weekend responsibilities. The Instructor is expected to live within commuting distance of Norman Campus.
Salary: Salary for the position will be dependent upon applicant qualifications and experience.
Reports to: Director and Associate Director
Position requirements: MSW degree required and minimum of 2 years of post-MSW practice experience required. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred. Previous experience teaching, serving as a field instructor, and/or faculty field liaison is preferred.
