Job Description

The department of ECEE includes 2 University Distinguished Professors, 8 endowed chairs, 36 tenure/tenure-track faculty, 7 instructional faculty, and 5 research faculty. Faculty honors include 16 IEEE Fellows, 2 members of the US National Academy of Engineering, an NSF Presidential Faculty Fellow, and 22 NSF CAREER Award recipients. The ECEE program consists of about 400 undergraduate and 480 graduate students and has averaged over $12 million in annual research grants. The department maintains close ties with local industry and national institutes/labs such as NIST, NREL, and NOAA.

Tenured faculty in ECEE typically hold positions that include 40% teaching, 40% research, and 20% service effort distributions. This position will provide leadership in the area of quantum engineering.

The anticipated salary range for this position at the Full Professor rank is $175,000 - $225,000 academic year salary.
A relocation stipend of up to $20,000 may be provided within CEAS guidelines.

Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
Candidate must hold the rank of Professor at their current institution.
Professor rank faculty are expected to have an established and ongoing program of original research, a strong publication record, and demonstrated ability to obtain external funding as well as a record of high-quality teaching and mentoring.
Candidates should have a strong record of research in quantum engineering or science as demonstrated by number of publications, citations and invited talks.
At least 5 years of experience leading initiatives in quantum engineering or science.
At least 8 years of teaching experience at the university level.
