The Department of History in the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in South Asian History. Specialists of any time period are encouraged to apply.  Successful candidates will unite excellence in research and teaching. Candidates should be prepared to teach introductory and upper-division courses in South Asian history as well as graduate courses in their thematic specialty. The annual teaching load is 2-2. The Department of History promotes the professional development and career advancement of all its members.

A Ph. D. in History or a related field is required by August 16, 2024, the time of the appointment.
