Position is responsible for:
Manage projects related to maintenance/calibration equipment improvements
Performing corrective maintenance activities on equipment in support of the continuous operation of the Sanford facility, including manufacturing, utilities and quality control equipment/systems
Troubleshooting and repair of Electrical, Mechanical, Automation equipment and systems at the highest level
Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on GMP equipment
Project lead for critical issues that impact operations of GMP equipment
Provide training for junior level Technicians as needed
Position will require specialized skills and knowledge such as welding, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, pipe fitting, programming knowledge, etc.
Role Responsibilities:
Perform duties in a safe manner with a focus on Zero Injuries and follow all SOP, cGMP requirements and external regulatory protocols
Candidate will provide direction and coordination to other maintenance technicians in the absence of management (24/7 shift work – off hours)
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner utilizing DMAIC techniques when necessary.
Support engineering projects to select and install appropriate equipment (Including Factory Acceptance Tests - FAT)
Lead to completion and/or participate in continuous improvement activities (Drive change to a positive outcome – OWN IT)
Perform predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance activities for GMP equipment
Perform people leader activities as a back-up to management when needed
Provide investigation support at a high level
Communicate well with everyone - Top down… with a professional attitude and mindset
Demonstrate the ability to make critical decisions with precision and decisiveness
Qualifications:
Minimum of AAS degree in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, industrial technology or related field of study with at least 6 years of experience working with equipment maintenance in a cGMP environment, or equivalent. A HS diploma with 12 years of relevant experience is also acceptable.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requirements are typical for a manufacturing plant-based work environment with significant shop floor exposure. Routine lifting, sitting, climbing, standing, walking and bending is required. Specific PPE requirements, including clean room gowning, arc flash gowning and fall protection and vessel entries are frequently required. There are no unusual mental requirements for this position.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Schedule is day shift (M-F, 8 hrs). Alternative work schedules may be required to support specific project-related activities. On call duties may also be required.
Work Location Assignment: On Premise
