Salesforce Release Manager, Senior Developer
Responsibilities
Plan and implement release management activities for the Salesforce CRM platform and related systems, including source control, build and deployment automation, and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
Manage the release and deployment of changes to the Salesforce CRM platform and related systems, ensuring that changes are thoroughly tested and deployed in a timely and efficient manner.
Work closely with Salesforce Architects, developers, and business stakeholders to plan and execute release schedules and ensure that changes align with business objectives.
Develop and maintain release management processes and procedures, including source control, build and deployment automation, and CI/CD.
Configure and maintain release management tools such as Copado, Gearset, or Jenkins, and ensure that tools are properly integrated with the Salesforce CRM platform and related systems.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of upcoming changes and that any potential conflicts are identified and resolved.
Collaborate with security teams to integrate security best practices into the release management process, including performing regular security assessments and ensuring that security controls are in place throughout the software development and deployment process.
Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to ensure that all changes are thoroughly tested and validated prior to release.
Continuously monitor and improve release management processes, identifying opportunities to streamline and automate processes and improve overall efficiency.
Provide technical guidance and support to Salesforce Architects, developers, and other stakeholders on release management best practices and tools.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in release management, change management, or a related field.
Strong experience with Salesforce CRM and related technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
Experience with release management tools such as Copado, Gearset, or Jenkins, and the ability to configure and maintain these tools.
Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and practices, and experience integrating security into the software development and deployment process.
Strong experience with automated testing frameworks and tools, and the ability to develop and maintain these tools.
Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and practices, and experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce CRM and related systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Salesforce certifications such as Certified Salesforce Administrator, Certified Salesforce Developer, or Certified Salesforce Architect
Experience in an Agile/Scrum development methodology within sizable corporate organizations
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Salesforce Certifications that may include Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, User Experience Designer, System Architect, or Application Architect
Technology certifications such as Copado, GitHub, Test Automation Tool Suites (e.g. Pytest, Selenium, AccelQ)
Agile trainings and certifications such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, Scaled Agile SAFE
Working knowledge of Salesforce Health Cloud, Patient Connect product, systems within the Patient Services functions
Knowledge of database, storage, hosting, cloud, application, analytics, and services technologies, Tableau analytics and reporting
