Health Economics & Outcomes Research Manager (m/f/d)
Contract till 31.12.2024, due to maternity leave substitution
Based in Berlin (up to 50% home office possible)
About the role:
You will manage non-interventional studies and economic models. With non-interventional studies, you will evaluate the clinical and economic burden of diseases targeted by our products
Using modeling techniques, you will assess the economic value of products and therapies with the clinical and quality of life outcomes data from clinical trials and non-interventional studies.
The outcome of your work will provide real world insights for health technology assessment, product reimbursement and marketing strategies and product portfolio decisions. You will work together with HTA and medical teams to improve their strategies and programs.
You will participate in interdisciplinary teams for the planning, implementation, reporting and publication of observational studies (e.g., cost of illness, health care management, epidemiology of disease, comparative effectiveness)
You will analyze existing data and identify and assess external data sources (health care databases, patient registries, others) for their utility in addressing scientific questions in observational research
You will review the suitability of global models to support cost-effectiveness, cost utility and budget impact claims and adapt if needed.
About You:
University degree in a scientific or economic field, e.g., in health economics, health services research, public health, or epidemiology, preferably combined with a statistics specialization
demonstrated experience in designing and conducting prospective and retrospective observational studies, conducting health economics, health related quality of life and/or health services research studies in the pharmaceutical Industry, academia or consulting
Sound knowledge in statistics and the methodology of evidence-based medicine, epidemiology and modeling
Strong process/project management skills
Professional working proficiency in English
