ROLE SUMMARY

Business Analytics & Insights (BAI) harnesses the power of data to drive robust analytical insights that inform some of Pfizer's most critical business questions.

The person in this role will lead be assigned to U.S Comirnaty commercial team to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions through market research and analytics plans. These plans include a combination of primary market research, key performance tracking / LEAP dashboard, and customer data mining and analytics to fully understand, generate insights, and contribute market development and brand strategy for Comirnaty.

This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. The successful candidate will join Business Analytics and Insights (BAI) colleagues worldwide that are dedicated to helping drive business through proactive thought leadership, innovative research capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Role definition and Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Market Analytics

  • Partner with key Pfizer stakeholders to support the design of market research and data analytics plans, and the overall management of the research process in the U.S.
  • Apply all types of primary market research techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, to answer key business questions.
  • Connect research and analytics together to tell a compelling and persuasive story and deliver clear and actionable recommendations

Forecasting/ Operating Plan Support

  • In partnership with key Pfizer stakeholders, support the development of Long Range Forecasts (LRFs) and Operating Plans
  • Coordinate forecasting activities with Global BAI and Forecasting CoE colleagues.
  • Ability to qualify and quantify the business opportunity, including communicating results and recommendations.
  • Ensure accurate and effective performance measurement and deliver regular assessments of portfolio performance to leadership, including clear articulation of the data and its meaning for the business

  Collaboration with other Analytical teams

  • Partner with global analytical teams to adapt global strategies to local markets.
  • Actively seek to share knowledge and expertise with other colleagues.
  • Proactively seek alignment with other analytics teams (CoEs/other Global or Country teams) to ensure cohesive activities with our stakeholders and facilitate best practice sharing.


Vendor/Offshore Resource Management

  • Ensure team commissioning and contracting through preferred vendors
  • Accountable for team meeting compliance and Corporate SOP obligations of all Primary Market Research projects
  • Manage budgets associated with assigned activities
  • Be accountable for continuous improvement and identification/utilization of new capabilities to maximize the competitive advantages of the business
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in Biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, business, or related area
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required.  
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Forecast experience with ability to run models in order to understand risks and uncertainties
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies.
  • Experience in the management of secondary data analytics
  • Ability to assess vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process.
  • Ability to be flexible and support teams in complex and challenging cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize and describe relevant caveats and uncertainties in research, analytic projects, and forecasts, including how they relate to the business questions
  • Previous demonstrated Business / Financial acumen.
  • Analytics, statistics and/or database knowledge and experience (using tools, applications, platforms, etc.)
  • Ability to identify new issues, trends, and opportunities from data
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking sills
  • Project management and organizational skills with cross-functional teams of diverse colleagues
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters (or equivalent) preferred in a quantitative discipline
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical data and visualization tools is preferred
  • Experience in using innovative techniques to monitor, simulate and analyze complex data sets preferred.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $127,400.00 to $212,200.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.

Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
