Job Description
Summary
The Laboratory Helper will assist with routine daily operations of a laboratory investigating metabolic liver disorders. The Laboratory Helper will assist the head Laboratory Technician with maintaining an orderly laboratory. Must have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and work well with others.
Job Duties
- Cleans laboratory equipment such as metal instruments, sinks, and tables.
- Retrieves, washes, dries, sterilizes, and redistributes laboratory glassware.
- Operates autoclave and dishwasher.
- Prepares standard solutions.
- Assists with routine daily operations of a laboratory investigating metabolic liver disorders.
- Assists the head Laboratory Technician with maintaining an orderly laboratory.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Has positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, and work well with others.
- Completion of Introductory Biology and Chemistry undergraduate course work.
- Completion of Introductory Biology and Chemistry undergraduate laboratory work.
