Job Description

Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a background in qualitative health research?  Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?

Leeds Institute of Health Sciences are looking to recruit a new Research Fellow at 0.8fte to work for 9 months as part of a multi-disciplinary team on a project funded by Leeds Hospital Charity. This project sits within the INSCHOOL programme funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). The aims of the INSCHOOL programme are to better understand the school lives of young people living with a long term health condition, and then develop a new holistic assessment for use in research, clinical settings and schools.

The post holder will work closely with the principal-investigator to lead and deliver a new additional project to the main INSCHOOL programme. The project aims to speak to parents/carers of young people living with long term health conditions about their child’s school life, the challenges their child has faced, as well as their positive experiences and achievements. Parents/carers will also be asked to describe their own experience of navigating the school and health systems on behalf of their child.
