The Ball State University Digital Corps is an on-campus creative agency powered by students. We’re problem solvers and big thinkers. The role of Video Team Lead is a one-of-a-kind position that combines the best of video production and creative storytelling with the altruistic aims of empowering students to learn, grow, and succeed in their creative discipline. Ideal candidates will have a shared passion for student success and video production. Part teacher, part video producer, part mentor, part gearhead… this position requires face-to-face work with undergraduate students and hands-on work with all aspects of video production.

Position Function: Provide regular training and guidance to Digital Corps students focused on video production; serve as department authority on matters of video production, including software, gear, trends, editing technique, on-set production, and industry standards; and oversee the video production process of Digital Corps projects from inception to completion.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in video production or a related technical field from an accredited college or university by the date of appointment. Or, in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an Associate’s degree plus an additional combination of education or experience in video production equivalent to two years, or a High school diploma or GED plus an additional combination of education or experience in video production equivalent to four years. At least two years of video production experience, including pre-production, on-set production, and post-production workflows.

Minimum Other: Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills. Ability to lead, train, and coach undergraduate students in the field of video production.

Preferred Qualifications: Additional years of video production experience with proven effectiveness in pre-production planning, on-set production (multiple technical disciplines), and post-production workflows (including Adobe Premiere and AfterEffects).

The salary range minimum for this position is: $58,000
