The primary purpose of this position is to function as an integrator working with the data analysts and end users to produce a complete data system solution. The incumbent will also provide Tier 3 level technical support for applications throughout the University. The support provided will include, but will not be limited to, contacting third party vendors for additional support. This position requires extensive logic and programming skills. Evaluate, plan, coordinate and execute software system upgrades. Design, develop and troubleshoot SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages. Position will also be responsible for assisting the department head in requirements gathering, design, development and documentation of work products.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Information Technology, Computer programming, or a closely related field and five years of progressive experience in programming with object oriented methodologies that must include an advanced understanding of relational databases and knowledge of TSQL language that includes data definition and data manipulation. In lieu of a degree, directly relevant experience will be considered. Candidates must have experience with Microsoft .Net framework, Visual Studio, C# or VB.Net, T-SQL, SSMS, SSIS, SSRS. Additionally, candidates must have demonstrated ability to produce applications work product from end user specifications and requirements with a minimal level of supervision and the ability to work independently.
