Job DescriptionPosition Highlights The Materials Science & Engineering Department (MSE) at the University of Arizona, seeks an Administrative Support Assistant III, to join its team. This position will provide administrative support and coordinate activities between faculty, staff, and students within the Materials Science & Engineering Department and UA Global Micro-campus at Hebei University of Technology. This position will also provide administrative support to Materials Science & Engineering faculty and help manage the activities within the Quantum Network National Science Foundation (NSF) Convergence Accelerator research group.
Travel to UA Main Campus and the Materials Science Lab at 4715 E. Fort Lowell Road may be necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities
Provide general administrative support to the Materials Science & Engineering Department Head.
Provide general administrative support to Materials Science & Engineering faculty at the Arizona Materials Lab.
Assist in coordinating department events, meetings, and annual events. Coordinates logistics, scheduling and participant communications. File maintenance
Assist in preparation of reports, or other special reports for department head or outside agencies; generates acknowledgement letters as necessary.
Provide periodic statistical reports and data (e.g., enrollments, student demographics) to assist with recruitment and retention initiatives.
Social Media/Marketing (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn).
Serve as the Materials Science & Engineering Micro-Campus liaison.
Assist Materials Science & Engineering Program Coordinator, Sr., with advanced standing, final degree audits, academic eligibility, adjustments to advisement reports for students enrolled at Hebei University of Technology.
Provide administrative support for the National Science Foundation Convergence Accelerator project under Dr. Zheshen Zhang's supervision through monitoring of budget status, record keeping, coordinating activities with other Convergence Accelerator teams, processing of outgoing sub-contracts and organization of annual workshops.
Work collaboratively to contribute to the overall assessment and evaluation of UA Global/Micro-campus programs.
Assist with collecting information for UA Academic Program Review and Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
Coordinate program development (e.g., recruitment workshops, outreach) for Hebei University of Technology.
Collaborate and coordinate with Materials Science & Engineering Program Coordinator, Sr., and campus partners.
Additional duties may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required.
Ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in area of assignment and/or minimum of 5 years of administrative experience.
Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Office, Box, and Qualtrics.
Experience with UAccess Systems (Student Services, Analytics).
Previous experience with academic advising and student engagement.
