Job Description

postdoctoral or regular position depending on the experience.

The successful candidate will work all aspects related optoelectric devices for a primary application
of advanced semiconductor infrared sensors and detectors.

The successful candidate will specifically:
• Work closely with the team members in developing optoelectronics device design
• Develop and implement nanofabrication of the devices
• Develop optical and electronic device testing procedures for semiconductor devices
• Characterize the materials and devices including IR detectors and Avalanche Photo Diodes,
made of heterostructures, 2D materials, and colloidal quantum dots
• Write R&D-level proposals and grant applications for semiconductor materials and device
technology advancements
• Write technical reports to funding agencies and customers
• Make technical presentations at conferences and to customers/collaborators
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair test equipment

• Bulk and 2D materials and device characterization using electrical and optical tools
• Materials and device data analysis and interpretation
• Strong oral and written communication skills, strong organization skills with an attention to
detail, and excellent documentation capability
• Familiarity with COMSOL modeling of optical and electronics devices
• Computer skills including MS Office, Python, LabView, SQL and AutoCAD a plus
• Willingness to learn new technical areas

• PhD in a relevant discipline (Physics, Engineering or Materials Science)
• At least three years direct 2D/semiconductor materials and device experience
• Must have experience working with compound semiconductors.
• Semiconductor test equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repair experience
• Permission to work in the US. Citizen or permanent resident of the United States preferable
