Job Description

Develop theories and models of human decision making and travel behavior for improving integrated travel demand modeling simulations, and extend knowledge of travel behavior to future technology and policy scenarios.  Develop mathematical and computational techniques to improve the capabilities and performance of state-of-the-art travel demand and traffic simulation codes which incorporate new models of travel behavior.

  • Doctorate and 0 years or their equivalents.

  • Knowledge of engineering computation as applied to system modeling, optimization, and planning.

  • Knowledge in one of more specialized areas of engineering, applied mathematics, physics, or computer science.

  • Skill and experience in software programming.

  • Skills in decision making.

  • Skills to roadmap from specific problems to general solutions.

  • Skill in the use of high performance computer technology.

  • Skill in the ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases for projects of moderate scope.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
