Research Assistant position who will be performing scientific research in the area of breast cancer in Dr. Xi Chen's Lab: Dr. Chen's laboratory studies the function and mechanism of Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) protein quality control machinery in tumor microenvironment, therapy resistance and stem cell niche.
The specifics of this research is to study the function and mechanism of Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) protein quality control machinery in cancer progression, metastasis and therapy resistance, with special focus on cancer immunotherapy. To be able to perform this research the Research Assistant will assist in research experiments that will collect data. This candidate will perform basic scientific research that will include:
Plans, directs and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
Evaluates and analyzes data.
May establish new research protocols and procedures.
Summarizes research findings and publish results in research journals as directed and reviewed by the PI.
Join lab group meetings and share the results of their lab findings.
Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
Two years of relevant experience.
Master's degree in a related field.
Research background in cancer progression, metastasis and therapy resistance, with special focus on cancer immunotherapy.
