This is a permanent, full-time, benefits eligible position. Positions at this level are expected to demonstrate professionalism and maintain security and confidentiality of office documents, records and information. This position uses standard office tools and technology. A successful candidate should be detailed-oriented and possess the ability to supervise and provide leadership to student employees in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalency and one year of office experience or one year of post-secondary education.
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Outstanding customer service skills
Strong written communication skills as shown by the applicant’s submitted material
Experience with office records management and organization of paper and electronic files
Experience in a university setting

Salary: $13.98 per hour

Oversee customer service operations, including walk-in, phone, and email communications
Supervise and provide on-going training for student employees
Monitor expenditures and reconcile monthly budget reports for the department and university farm accounts
Process travel and purchasing requests
Understand and implement university and state procedures and regulations
Schedule advisor and department visits for incoming students
Purchase farm supplies and equipment and reconcile those expenses
Process travel expenses for the rodeo students
Maintain the budget spreadsheets for the department and university farm accounts
Perform other office management functions as needed or assigned by the Department Chair
