Job DescriptionNIH-funded postdoctoral positions are available immediately to join a productive liver research team in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, Department of Medicine, at the University of Louisville. A PhD in biomedical sciences or related disciplines is required. Previous training and experiences in the following research areas of alcoholic liver disease, non-alcoholic liver disease and cholestatic liver disease are preferred: 1) Mechanistic studies of gut-liver axis mediated by gut microbiota, intestinal barrier function, inflammation and bile acid metabolism, (2) Liver regeneration through intestine-derived factors, (3) Nutritional intervention of intestinal homeostasis, (4) In vitro cell cultural techniques and molecular biology approaches, (5) Animal models of intestinal and liver related diseases. Compensation for this NIH-funded position will follow NIH postdoctoral stipend levels.
