Job Description

The Schueler research lab in the Department of Radiation Physics at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a postdoctoral fellow. Our focus is on developing technical solutions for FLASH radiation therapy (RT) and to implement those solutions to gain insight into the biological effects of FLASH RT on normal tissues and tumors. Current focus of interest is on the development of stable irradiation platforms, new detectors and dosimetry protocols for FLASH RT. Successful applicants would be part of an established, well-funded, committed, and productive interdisciplinary research team.

Ideal candidates should have experience in medical physics and dosimetry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Programming within Matlab/Python, 3D printing design, and electrical engineering are preferred. Work experience in biological labs is a plus. The individual is expected to work within a large group of motivated interdisciplinary researchers including clinicians, postdoctoral fellows and other research staff.
