The mission of the Department of Nursing at Fayetteville State University (FSU) is to educate a diverse population in southeastern North Carolina and beyond to be culturally competent, ethical, and caring nurses for a global society. Nursing is a discipline that builds on knowledge from nursing theory; the natural, social, and applied sciences; and the humanities. Description of Work Continued:
The Department of Nursing seeks a committed, scholar and nursing educator, capable of contributing to the continued expansion of the RN-BSN degree program and a four-year generic licensure program. The candidate must be able and willing to teach across curricula.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Applicants must be eligible for licensure as an RN in North Carolina.
Applicants for the Lecturer position must have an MSN, from an accredited institution, extensive nursing teaching and clinical experience in Medical/ Surgical Nursing.
Applicants for the Assistant Professor position must have a MSN; an earned doctorate from an accredited institution, an extensive nursing teaching and/or clinical experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing and a publication record sufficient for being eligible for tenure track.
