We invite you to apply for a Postdoctoral Appointee position within our Materials Science Division: 


Basic Purpose:

  • Conduct research on the electronic structure of quantum materials.
  • This work will be performed to support Argonne`s mission goals for two programs: the BES FWP titled Condensed Matter Theory, and CATS - a DOE Energy Frontier Research Center.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Comprehensive knowledge in electronic structure calculations of quantum materials.
  • Maintain an up-to-date awareness of developments in the relevant areas ofresearch.
  • Considerable knowledge in the field of condensed matter physics and electronic structure theory.
  • Publish results in refereed journals and makes oral presentations at meetings,conferences, symposia and seminars.Education:Ph.D. in Physics or related area.
  • Ph.D. in Physics or related area.
