Job Purpose

Performs complex research of an advanced nature under the general direction of the Principal Investigator.  Typically requires a high-level of skills and expertise in the area of research specialty.

Job Description:
The candidate should be highly motivated to pursue a career in health care. The incumbent within this position serves as a Research Associate providing support on Health Services Research projects. The incumbent will focus on collaborating with the team to design, implement, and test deep unsupervised learning methods for embedding EHR data. The Research Associate will be responsible for the review and abstraction of clinical data from EHRs into a research database.  Depending upon interests and skills, this could include taking part in the development of machine learning skills to build retrieval methods for e-triggers. Coding skills are not a requirement for the position. Rather, preference will be given to candidates with a medical background and interested in long -term commitments.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education Required: Master's degree in Basic Science or a related field.  Experience in lieu of degree will not be accepted.
  • Experience Required: Three years of relevant experience typically as a Research Assistant, Research Technician or Postdoctoral Fellow/Associate.
  • Certification/Licenses/Registration: None Required.
