Job Description

The High Energy Physics Theory group at Argonne National Laboratory anticipates hiring a postdoctoral associate starting in the Fall of 2020.

In this role you will conduct theoretical research in high energy physics, focusing on all areas of phenomenology of particle physics, with special emphasis on collider, Higgs and beyond the Standard Model physics. Beyond this work, postdoctoral researchers at the High Energy Physics (HEP) Division at Argonne are expected to contribute to the overall Division program through interactions with their colleagues working on theory and experiment, as well as having a relevant impact on the US HEP program.

Groupmembers interests span several aspects of field theory and particle physics phenomenology, including QCD, collider physics, beyond the Standard Model phenomena, heavy quarkoniumphysics, as well as topics in the interface of particle physics and cosmology. The initial appointment will be for one year, with possibility of renewal for another two years.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in physics that has been completed within the last three years. A specialization in theoretical particle physics is preferred.

Applicants should submit a Curriculum Vitae (CV); a list of publications; and arrange to have at least three reference letters.
